Now in its nineteenth year, the Forum has been a long-standing venue for connecting SBIR/STTR-funded technologies with warfighters, government acquisition and technical personnel, large primes, system integrators, and other potential transition partners.
Navy leadership challenged us to deliver innovation to warfighters faster by exploring new collaborations with regional technology hubs. The Navy SBIR/STTR Program Office is meeting this challenge through exciting academic and corporate partnerships. This year we are taking FST “on the road” to the University of Massachusetts Lowell’s Research Institute, mobilizing New England’s government, industry, and academic innovators.
A state-of-the-art multipurpose facility owned by the University of Massachusetts Lowell, the Tsongas Center at UMass Lowell is conveniently located in the heart of historic Lowell adjacent to the campus and research facilities. The greater Boston and New England technology corridor provides an exceptional location for collaboration between small businesses, academic research, and Department of Defense agencies focused on research, development, and acquisition. The Department of the Navy’s SBIR/STTR Program Office is excited to partner with the UMass Lowell Research Institute to bring you the nineteenth edition of the Forum for SBIR/STTR Transition (FST) – mobilizing a new generation of government, industry, and academic innovators!
