Reaction Engineering International (REI) specializes in providing advanced computational modeling solutions and thermobaric modeling for defense applications. Currently computer models are being developed for prediction of the performance of thermobaric explosives. This class of explosives is seeing increased use in a variety of defense platforms due to their unique capabilities to produce long duration, high-temperature blast conditions. Better model predictions will reduce costs by limiting the need for testing, by identifying optimal thermobaric explosive designs, and by providing enhanced simulation tools for targeting and damage assessment. The computer models will have broad application to a variety of weapons systems across all the branches of the military. REI is seeking relationships with Navy, Air Force and Army program offices and contractors working on thermobaric explosives.
