Rock West Composites provides an affordable means to achieve supersonic/ high temperature nose radomes that have high Radio Frequency (RF) transmission over a broad range of frequencies and angles of incidence. The innovation is a non‐structural, RF “tuning liner” that nests with a structural ceramic radome shell, but does not necessarily need to be adhered to it. It allows for looser tolerances when build ceramic shells. This radome design supports the warfighter by enabling improved RF transmission/reception straight out the tip of sharp‐nosed radomes by increasing antenna range and reducing distortion of signals for targeting, jamming, communication or augmentation functions. This radome technology is currently at TRL 5. Rock West seeks to team with missile integrators/ radome manufacturers to integrate this design into specific applications.
